The Historic Chief Theatre
If you’ve driven through downtown Steamboat, you’ll notice an old movie theater venue located on 8th and Lincoln. Built in the late 1920’s, the Chief Theater has long offered live performances and events. Over it’s ensure in Steamboat, it’s been remodeled four times, each time reflecting distinct periods of architecture. Today, The Chief is open to the public as a cultural and performing arts center. They have a very diverse line up of events. With a weekly night of improv comedy, various “Family Fun Nights,” and other great events, there’s something for everyone.
