Labor Day Weekend

We are two weeks away from Labor Day Weekend… TWO WEEKS! Always hard to believe how quickly summer goes by anywhere, but especially in Steamboat. Weekends here are spent hiking or biking to some awesome camping spots in the Zirkel Wilderness. They are spent tubing the river or paddleboarding Steamboat Lake. But on Labor Day weekend, you will want to make time for some fun in town! Here’s the full schedule of events.

Friday, September 1

PC: Steamboat Resort

6am-8pm: Yampa Valley Crane Festival

9am-6pm: Steamboat Sidewalk Sale- local vendors in downtown Steamboat offer great end-of-summer and back to school deals

10am-1pm: Yampatika’s Fish Creek Falls Hike

12pm-1pm: Museum Storytelling- Tread of Pioneers weekly lecture series focusing on the history in the Yampa Valley.

3pm-6pm: Captain of the Boat- Test your mountain biking skills in the Captain of the Boat contest! Open to riders of all abilities.

4pm-7pm: Family Fun Happy Hour- Kick off the weekend at the base of the ski area.

5pm-8pm: First Friday Artwalk- enjoy a free self-guided tour of local art galleries, museums, and more in town.

5pm-8pm: Sunset Happy Hour- The last one of the season! Watch the sun set over the Yampa Valley- you won’t be disappointed!

Saturday, September 2

6am-8pm: Yampa Valley Crane Festival

9am-6pm: Steamboat Sidewalk Sale

9am-2pm: Farmer’s Market

9am-3pm: Wild West Air Fest- Don’t miss the airplane acrobatics of the 11th annual Wild West Air Fest!

10am-2pm: Fish Creek Falls Hike

6am-8pm: Yampa Valley Crane Festival

9am-6pm: Steamboat Sidewalk Sale

3pm-9:30pm: End of Summer Jam- Fruition plays the end of summer free concert at Howlesen Hill!

5pm-7:30pm: Bull Bash- The top 40 PBR bull riders come to Steamboat for a fun competition at Brent Romick Rodeo Arena!
